Morris opened LA Prints on Robertson Blvd in 1987 with a two-color offset press and a phone that he answered himself. Thirty-five years later the shop has offset and digital presses, a 63-inch wide-format printer, a screen-printing and embroidery department, and a finishing room with a die-cutter and foil press. The phone is still answered by Morris.
How the shop works
Every quote request goes to the owner. He reads the file, decides which press it belongs on, and replies with a price and a turnaround — usually inside fifteen minutes during shop hours. If the file has a problem, the reply says so before you've paid for anything.
That's the reason production coordinators, brokerages, and agencies have stayed for decades. Not the equipment, though the equipment is good. The fact that the person quoting the job is the person who'll be standing at the press when it runs.

437 S. Robertson Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90211, between Wilshire and Olympic. Metered parking on the street and a 15-minute loading zone out front. Same-day courier to Downtown, Hollywood, Culver City, Santa Monica, and Burbank.
